Showcase Sizes

Although we hold floor stock of commonly ordered styles and sizes, most showcases are manufactured to order to your specifications.

With Team Showcases we are not locked into standard sizes. We can manufacture your showcase in virtually any size - to the millimetre. The only size limitations are controlled by whether the showcase can be lifted and delivered and whether it will fit through doorways.

 

Showcase Frame Colours and Finishes

Select from a range of colours and finishes for the showcase frames:

  • Matt natural Anodised
    The most commonly specified finish. Readily available. Tough and durable. Economical.
       
  • Black Powdercoat
    Classy and elegant. Often specified for museums, galleries, jewellery and for upmarket clothing accessories. Add 7-10 working days for showcases with this finish.
       
  • White Powdercoat
    Clean and simple. Often specified for pharmacies, health and beauty and retailers of electrical appliances. Add 7-10 working days for showcases with this finish.
      
  • Special Powdercoat
    Select your choice of colour from the Dulux powdercoat range. Select from strong primary colours, soft pastels or metallic finishes. Add 7-10 working days for showcases with this finish.
      
  • Special Anodised Finishes
    For a special gold or silver metallic finish. Minimum order quantities will apply and add 20-24 working days for showcases with this finish.
 

Showcase Upright Frame Styles

There is a choice of styles for the upright corners of the showcases:

  • Mitre Uprights
    A popular choice. Tough and hard wearing
  • Radius Uprights
    Providing a 'softer' look to the showcases
      
  • Square Uprights
    Often specified for high-tech sers, including computer, phone and audio shops. Also specified for counter style showcases where several units butt up to each other.
       
  • 135 Degree Uprights
    For specialised units
 

Cross Rail Styles

 Select from:

  • Heavy Duty Cross Rails (60mm)
    Recommended for showcases longer than 1150mm. Also specified for the bottom rails foraesthetic reasons.
  • Light Dyty Cross Rails (25mm)
    For narrow showcases
 

Showcase Door Options

Select from 2 showcase door options:

  • Rolling Doors
    Specified for mid to large size showcases. The glass doors have a full width aluminium extrusion siliconed on to the bottom edge. This extrusion contains wheels to spead the weight of the doors across the door track.
      
  • Hinged Doors
    Specified for small or narrow showcases. The hinge is in the form of a full height aluminium extrusion.

Both style of doors can be supplied with locks with keyed-alike capabilities. Door handle options include finger grips ground into the glass, D-pull plastic or steel, or full height finger pulls.

 

Lighting Options

Lighting options include:

  • Lighting Cowls
    With fluorescent tubes concelaed in a horizontal cowl along the top edge of the showcase. Often specified for counter style showcases.
     
  • Lighting Soffits
    A small section (150mm to 250mm deep) containing fluorescent tubes above an opalised acryic or grid style diffuser. Lighting soffits can also contain low voltage downlights.
    Lighting soffits can have translucent sides for illuminated corporate logos.
 

Infill Panel Options

Options for infill panels, bases, plinths and the storage sections of the showcases include:

  • Glass or mirror
  • Lamiwood or laminated boards
  • Fabric panels
  • Decorative metal panels
 

Shelving Options

  • Most showcase shelves are supported on the minimalist Howard Silvers Stripping, a slotted steel stripping providing fine degrees of vertical adjustyment.
  • Alternative methods include Slatwall backed showcases for ultimate display flexibility
 

Base Level Options

 Base Level options include:

  • Flat Base
    As required by wall-mounted showcases
      
  • Inset Plinth
    The most commonly specified option. With furniture glides to facilitate easier movement of the showcase
      
  • Legs
    Specified for aesthetic reasons
      
  • Castors
    From light duty to industrial depending on the application
