If a fresh food retailer displays all of their food in the same or similar rectangular bowls or trays, all of which are the same colour and same size, the display will look dated and will do little to encourage their customers to scan the whole display and maximise their purchases.
The preferred way is to use different containers to create highlight and feature zones within the display. For example, in a traditional deli, most of the product might be displayed in MTA rectangular trays. But a zone in the middle might use these salad bowls to display salads or olives. And if these bowls are displayed on our deli steps they will give the products in them an added lift.
