Care and Maintenance of Bamboo Boards

• Our Bamboo Platteres are made from real bamboo
• They are suitable for short to medium use as a decorative display product
• Special care and maintenance is required if they are to be used for extended periods
• They are not suitable for dishwashers or use in ovens, freezers or microwaves
• Never soak in water or wash with harsh detergents. We recommend washing with hot soapy water after each use and dry with paper towel. Or just let them air dry
• Thery arte suitable for direct contact with food, however ensure appropriate cleaning and aftercare
• If you wish to sanitise the platter more thoroughly a diluted mixture of 1 teaspoon of chlorine bleach to 1 liter of water or 5 teaspoons of vinegar to 1 litre of water
• Store platters in a dry location at room temperature
• Do not store near heat sources or humid areas.
• Do not leave in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
• It is extremely important to give these platters a good oiling on all surfaces every 3-4 weeks
